The Call for Abstracts for the ESLA Congress 2027 is now open.

From 27–29 May 2027, speech and language therapists, researchers, educators and other professionals from across Europe and beyond will come together in Porto, Portugal, for three days of knowledge exchange, discussion and collaboration.

Under the congress theme, “Bridging innovation and care for the future of SLT” the ESLA Congress 2027 will provide a platform to share new research, innovative clinical practice and developments shaping the future of speech and language therapy.

We invite colleagues from across the profession to contribute to the scientific programme by submitting their work. Abstracts are welcomed from a broad range of areas within speech and language therapy, including clinical practice, research, education, service development, policy and professional issues.

The Congress is an important opportunity to bring together the diversity of expertise that exists within our European SLT community. We therefore strongly encourage clinicians as well as researchers and academics to consider submitting an abstract and sharing their work with colleagues from across Europe.

The deadline for abstract submission is 30 October 2026.

ESLA also encourages its member associations, universities, professional networks and partners to help us spread the word and share the Call for Abstracts widely within their communities.
