The ESLA Congress provides a platform for sharing scientific knowledge, presenting innovative research, exchanging clinical experiences and exploring developments in speech and language therapy. It aims to strengthen collaboration between professionals, promote evidence-based practice and contribute to the advancement of the profession across Europe.
Each congress offers a diverse scientific programme featuring keynote presentations, oral presentations, workshops, poster sessions and opportunities for professional networking and international collaboration.
Organised in cooperation with ESLA Member Associations, the congress reflects ESLA's commitment to advancing professional standards, supporting research and education, and promoting equitable access to high-quality speech and language therapy services.
Through its congresses, ESLA seeks to connect research, clinical practice and professional development, fostering a stronger and more connected European speech and language therapy community.
ESLA Congress 2027 – Porto, Portugal

Under the theme “Bridging Innovation and Care for the Future of SLT,” the ESLA Congress 2027 will bring together speech and language therapists, researchers, educators and students from across Europe and beyond.
The congress will provide an international platform for sharing research, exploring innovative approaches to clinical practice and strengthening collaboration across the profession.
Through keynote presentations, scientific sessions, workshops and networking opportunities, participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, discuss emerging challenges and contribute to shaping the future of speech and language therapy.
